I have Cobra coverage from a local city govt. that has a maximum benefit of $30,000 per year. I got very ill with septicemia and a mild stroke in 03/05 and ended up in critical care in a local hospital. My total medical bills were in excess of $100,000. I had to refinance my home to pay off more than $70,000. Isn’t there good affordable health care out there?
