I work retail and go to school as well, I found out after being hired that because I was short of being considered full time (5 hours at most), I could not get full time employee benefits which included health care coverage. My job also did not make this apparent to me when they hired me, even with me asking questions regarding this topic. Since then I have had an emergency room visit, (which I have to pay out of pocket) and because of my anger of the situation refuse to pay it. It’s been about 2 years now.
