I work in a large hospital Level II trauma center and see daily the awful care Americans receive. We never have enough staff on the weekends since management seems to think that hospital operates on a Monday thru Friday system and not 24/7. Our ER department is full of people who have no insurance or can’t see their Doctor because it is after 6pm or a weekend and in America you can only get sick Monday thru Friday from 8am-5pm. We never have the drugs we need due to backorders or they just were not ordered. Don’t come to the hospital if you are a diabetic since you won’t get your insulin on time or we will interchange to a cheaper insulin and send your blood sugar out of control. I see medication errors almost daily and that is just the ones that are caught! We pay more than any other country for healthcare and yet we have less access to quality healthcare.
