I am uninsured and unable to obtain medical coverage that I desperately need. I was accepted in the physicians reach out program. The doctor examined me and gave me a referral to see a specialist. I had to reapply to see this specialist and was accepted and then I was informed at this time no specialist was volunteering. They told me if one becomes available they will call me. This whole process has been about four months. I have tried other resources to get medical care but I found many doors are closed to the uninsured. I am to the point where I honestly do not know what to do about my health problems. Health care is treated as a privilege but in essence it is a human right. We need more action and less talk by our elected officials in this forgotten crisis. I cannot put into words how I must live because of no access to health care. I am only one of millions of people with no health care, including children, senior citizens, and working people. It is absolutely disgusting to think of all the people who are affected by this every day of their lives.
