I am a self employed taxi driver in San Diego Cal and have been paying Kaiser Permanente $568.00 Per month. This was alot for me to pay and took all my disposable income. Each year they raise my health care costs by about $50 per month but a few days ago i got a notice in the mail that my new costs would be $746 per month, and increase of $178 per month. Because i am on a cooversion plan I have no other viable choices and because i have pre-existing conditions.
So now I will loose my health care which is practically a death sentence. Why can’t individuals in my situation have the ability to buy into a group health plan a pay a group health rate.
